Our mission is to reach every unsaved man in America by 2023 and every unsaved man in the world by 2033 with the life-changing news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Goals
Men On A Mission Worldwide Ministries, Inc. was founded on January 29, 2000. The purpose of MOAM is to help men become Godly influences in their homes, families, communities and the world at large.
MOAM upcoming goals are to reach men through:
- Education Empowerment
Providing GED support to high school dropouts and stressing the need for higher education. Financial Empowerment
Through investment workshops, seminars and providing entrepreneurship opportunities. - Substance Abuse Counseling
Providing substance abuse support and counseling through a network of substance abuse centers.
- Alternative Lifestyle Counseling
Providing support and counseling for those struggling with same sex issues.
- Fellowships
Providing monthly fellowships targeting issues that confront men on a day-to-day basis.
- Sports Enrichment
Using sports to teach character, discipline and to provide places where young people can engage in organized activities.
- Fresh Start Programs
Giving ex-offenders, recovering addicts, homeless men an opportunity for vocational training and getting a new lease on life.
- Youth Mentoring
Providing positive male roles to boys who have no male figure in the home.

Elder Melvin L. Latimer
Founder of Men On A Mission
Dr. Melvin L. Latimer has been doing the work of the Lord for over 40 years. He is the Senior Associate Minister at One Church DMV in Waldorf, Maryland.
Dr. Latimer is the president and founder of Men On A Mission Worldwide Ministries, Inc. It is a 501 ( c) 3 non-profit corporation that empowers men to be godly influences in their homes, churches, communities, and the world. In January 2021, he launched the MOAM School of Ministry in Nairobi, Kenya, to prepare pastors to become influential leaders in their churches and communities. Then in April of 2022, the second MOAM School of Ministry was launched in Kampala, Uganda.
He is also the author of three publications: a book – “A Promise a Day” (a daily devotional), his second book, A Cry in the Dark, and a booklet – “How to Go Through with Joy.”
Dr. Latimer attended the Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland, pursuing a B.A. in Religious Education. Dr. Latimer holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Theology from FAM Institute Bible College & Seminary in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Latimer also holds an Honorary Doctor of Biblical Studies from the Los Angeles Development Church & Institute.
Dr. Latimer is married to Evangelist Sharron B. Latimer, and he is the father of four children, and one adopted daughter. He is also known as Pop-Pop to his three grandsons and three granddaughters. Dr. Latimer is an anointed man of God who walks in the five-fold ministry.
